The topic that my group is hopefully going to cover is comparing and contrasting Iran’s economy to ours here in the United States. This economic crisis occurring here in the United States is leading to a global crisis as well. Everyone is feeling the effects of the tough economic struggles. Although Iran denounces the capitalist system of the United States, the effects of an economic struggling in the U.S. causes a chain reaction, leading to economic struggles across the globe including Iran. Iranian President Ahmadinejad is being scrutinized for leading Iran into an economic downturn with skyrocketing inflation and falling oil prices. Although the U.S. and Iran seem to and do have very different approaches to their economy, some things are tied closely together.
